WHAT IS THE MANLY MARINE WATCH ?

Manly Marine Watch (MMW) is a group of boat owners in the Manly area who have banded together in the interests of boat security. It operates like the New South Wales Neighbourhood Watch programme. The primary focus of Marine Watch is the security and protection of boats and associated property and the reduction of marine related crime. MHMW also supports safe boating, the preservation and amenity of the environment and the fostering of community spirit and friendship.

Manly Marine Watch has the support of the NSW MAC ( Sydney Water Police) and the NSW Maritime Authority and members operate in a manner to assist them to carry out their duties.

       MMW Aims
        • Promote reporting of incidents to            Sydney Water Police and the Police            Assistance Line.
       • Seek to ensure dinghies are kept secured           when left unattended on the waterfront.
       • Encourage owners to use appropriate           methods to mark property and install           alarms.
